Book Review: Quest for Paradise

What according to you is your kinda paradise?
For some its overcoming their fears, shortcomings and hurdles while for others its battling against social stereotypes.
And today I bring unto you one such story of a girl name Ishani, come lets join in her journey and explore her life.

Hello guys, hope youll are doing well. I'm here today with another book review titled Quest for paradise by shuchi prasad.

LANGUAGE: ENGLISH
GENRE: FICTION
LENGTH:107
PUBLISHER:NOTION PRESS
PUBLISHED: 2017

SUMMARY/ PLOT :

Ishana, an aspiring tattoo artist, has to cope with all the people around her to gain what she truly desires. Quest for Paradise is a story about love and struggling to vanquish everything in its way, whether it's people, social stigmas, or an unprecedented catastrophe.[sic]

OVERVIEW/ MY OPINION:

I had a pretty good experience reading this book. Firstly the concept around which it revolves is very unique and diverse, its not something that I always find in indian novels. The writing style was good along with the character development. However I could only connect with Ishani at the beginning. Now that doesn't mean that it bored me to death! As i mentioned before it was a pretty entertaining read and it kept me gripped till the end. Also the beautiful drawings and images enhanced my reading experience.  The cover and the title is chosen appropriately  .
Now coming to the part where the book required some improvements, firstly coming to ishani's personal life & lifestyle,  the problem here was that i found out that she hardly interacted with anyone, I could agree on the part of not having friends, but what about neighbours?weren't they there ? Secondly the sudden romance that developed, like there wasn't any justification for it, it was kinda impossible and silly. Also the summary didn't completely do justice to the content inside, lastly it ended quiet abruptly, leaving me absolutely cluless of what has possibily happened to Ishani and her family.
Overall this was a pretty good read and worth giving a try.

MY RATING: 3/5
