Are you looking out for a really fresh, unique, captivating and an innovative tale? Well then read on because this post is exclusively for you!

Hello everyone, thank you for giving this post your time. I'm back today with another book review Entitled INVISIBLE TIES by Nadya AR.

Language: English
Published: 2018
Genre: Fiction
Publisherers: Rupa Publications
Length:264

Description:

As Karachi burned in the 1990s, the painfully shy Noor Kamal found refuge in an antique jade mirror stolen from Daisy, her social butterfly mother. One fateful day, the violence hits home as a motley crew of burglars storm the Kamal residence, killing Joseph, the faithful driver who tried to shield Noor and kidnapping Daisy in the process.
Traumatized by the turn of events and succumbing to familial pressure, Noor reluctantly agrees to start life afresh in Singapore as the wife of Meekaal Kalim, an investment banker. Trapped in a loveless marriage, Noor finds succour in studying psychotherapy.
Her attempt to heal others brings her close to Ella, her neighbour and Jake, a handsome American who is struggling to deal with his emotional breakdown. As she tries to exorcise ghosts from the past and break free from the shackles, where will Noor’s longing for love take her? Would she be able to liberate herself from her strong cultural values and ties?
A saga of love and trials, against a rich contrasting background, Invisible Ties is sure to appeal to the readers.(sic)

Overview/ My Opinion:

I had the most wonderful experience with this book.  Firstly the concept around which it revolvesis very deep. The content herein is strong and intruding, its bound to leave a huge impact on the reader.

Though this book is quite descriptive, i was astonished that it does not bore the reader, infact it keeps the reader engaged in reading it.  All credit for this goes to the author's fantastic and fluent writing style.
The plot was fresh and strong,
The characters too were developed quite well, I could connect with the protagonist Noor really well.

The places in this book are described intricately, it makes a reader live there!
The emmotions of each character is crafted beautifully and presented perfectly with the blend of the simple and lucid language used in this book.

The cover and the title are appropriately chosen, keeping in mind the interest and curiosity of a reader.
The blurd did  do justice to the content inside.

I absolutely loved the way the author has portrayed the social evils prevailing in the society even today.
I loved the way WOMEN EMPOWERMENT has been spoken about in this book.
Coming to the part that i absolutely loved, the way mental illness has been spoken about & above all how the stereotypical misconceptions about psychotherapy have been given a thought!

This story is sure to strike a chord in your heart and bring tears to one's eyes.
Overall, this was a very interesting and a fantastic read.  Definitely recommended if you're looking for a really fresh and unique read, beginners may however find it a bit difficult to get in it, but I'm sure if one manages to, they'll truly love it just as I did.
